Ginger and the sun ☀️🌡

You would of thought after 29 years been ginger you would learn the lesson that the two don’t go well together🤣 not me! Factor 50 is a must for me head to toe as I easly burn, I didn’t put any on today, After been at the pleasure beach in Blackpool I thought I would be OK but seven hours later this is what happens with the mask burn outline! Lots of aftersun is in order and hopefully won’t peel so much, But was a wonderful day mind and the ginger lives another day to fight the sun 😊

Just a few drinks 🍸

Having a few drinks 🍸 is fun! But oh boy how you pay the next day or in my case the next two!.

Now and again you have just got to have that blow out and yep nine times out of ten the night is totally worth it regardless of the few day hangover 😁 oh and the bank balance let’s just not look at that for a while 🤣

Moving forward

Live life to the full, take every day as it comes. This is Easier said than done, no day is the Same and that is what makes them so special. Weather that be good or bad they are memories and life experiences that help us.

Every morning is like a new start, waking up with a smile (forgetting about the bad and the ugly for those few morning moments) but life is not that simple and we keep going regardless that’s what matters moving forward pushing through….

Time flies

Time does flie when your having fun.

You know you have a good group of friends and family when time just disappears into the night with the conversation and just happy times. Time is precious for everyone it’s how you spend that time and who you fill that time with that makes the time we have amazing. As the saying goes “make the most of it”.

Allways make time for your family and friends, family especially when you can have them conversations about life experiences its interesting and gives you advice on what to do and not to do some things that I didn’t listen too I make similar mistakes but always rectified. Be happy smile and make the time and effort 😊

The one

Its awful when you have a break up and think have found the one, but there is a whole world out there full of people and that one will just one day be in front of you. Be unexpected when your not looking or thinking about it. One day the one will be beside you might be for many years might be for a short time, treasure them moments no matter how small or insignificant you think just that glace or look in your mind will put a smile on your face. Think positive and smile let the good times follow.

Long await

Be nice to finally get back into a normal routine, rather than just eat, sleep, go to the supermarket and watch television oh and the occasional walk. But on the other hand was nice to get them jobs done around the house well some of them at least…..🙄.

It’s been a while since did a full day’s work but my god have I missed it. You always say I don’t want to be at work and so on but after 4 months of not working I’m ready to be back raring to go!

Life is too short

During this pandemic family and friends have been more important than ever. It has given us the time to think and say how you feel and how much they mean to us. For me it’s been an eye opener and shown me how not to take for granted the loved ones around me. Now I talk more frequently and make more of an effort with people. It shouldn’t of ever come to somthing like this to show me but life gets in the way sometimes like for many of us. Its been  a opportunity to change and reflect life is just too short.

The parking ticket!

Oh the dreaded parking fine. Today was an interesting one and a lesson learned, don’t go all guns blazing like the hot headed ginger I am, it doesn’t help the situation 🙄.

So today I was having a new boiler fitting replacing a 35 year old boiler with a sparkling new eco one it’s amazing! (Never thought I would get to that point in life getting excited over a new boiler😏) but anyway. I needed to move my car and put it across the road from me where there is a wide path that can fit a car on and still have plenty space to pass on the pavement, many of times parked there and once got a ticket 4 years ago but it got cancelled so from then on I park there when needs be.

I saw the gentleman in his yellow hi-viz coat, hat on and that thing they walk around with. As you do I quickly went out and said ” is there a problem parking here” to which he replied ” its illegal to park here” then I just got little tinny bit angry and started saying about parking there all the time in the last 4 years and a ticket years ago and so on. But me been me I didn’t let the poor man speak and I stormed off back to my house like a stroppy teenager😫. (While this was all going on the boiler man was outside watching all this happen) so I got in sat down took a few deep breaths and saw he was finishing up and put the ticket on the car. Then I went back out again🙄 and said same thing over then he finally gets a word in and says to me “well if you let me finish speaking!” 😳 (think he was getting very annoyed by me at this point so I stopped and I listened to him) “what I was going to say was, I’ll let you move your car as I can see your having work done I understand why you parked here but your not allowed, the double yellows on the road go all the way to the path regardless of the extra wide path” I then said “ok then” calmly and explained calmly again about the ticket years ago and so on he says to me “I’ll look into that as it shouldn’t of been cancelled I’m the supervisor of the wardens” so I just said “ok well I’m sorry for how I acted I’m hot head and ginger not a good combination” to then my surprise he laughed I then said “I’ll move my car now and put it in the car park” for then he said ” no no it’s ok I’ll give you a note and park on next street for free” as you can imagine I was a bit shocked but thankful so said thank you and then as I removed the ticket of my windscreen he said “I’ll take that and cancel it” 😮 at this point I was gobsmacked! All I could say was are you sure? And that I was sorry about how I was. As I got in the house the boiler man said “I’ve never known or seen it go from one extreme to the other with a traffic warden and then get away with the ticket” I just replied with and free parking on a pay and display road 😜.

So the moral of this story for me is I need to take a step back and think more calmly and clear nothing gets resolved by shouting about and been all aggressive, just talk listen to one another and sometimes can sort what ever it was out. I think I was extremely lucky in this situation as he had every right to give me the ticket and afterwards when you look back like now I wouldn’t of blamed him. But hey this is part of life 😊 smile forgive forget move on.

The soothing sound of rain 🌦

The sound of the rain hitting the skylight window is calming somehow for me! The wind howling too but not too much of course! The soothing kind of wind you know the sound.

winter is my favourite time of year, people think I’m strange for that but I blame been ginger, I’m not too Keen on the sun or heat it’s a struggling time! 😂. (My dog Alfie on the other hand hates it mind! Poor guy! He’s a big softy! On all counts!) Unless it turns into a storm then the dog and I are under the covers together willing it to be over!

Over all it helps me sleep at night, dog beside me with his head on the pillow (but of course facing me with dog breath!) “pitter patter pitter patter” and off I drift into a deep sleep.
